Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) – Art Installation Support

First Scaff was engaged by Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) to design and install a scaffold structure as part of a large-scale art installation within the museum’s upstairs gallery.

The scaffold formed an integral component of the exhibition, supporting both the artist’s creative intent and the curatorial team’s installation requirements.

All works were carried out within the gallery’s controlled environment under tight timeframes to ensure the exhibition launch proceeded as scheduled.

Project Environment

Scaffold built inside the upper-level gallery to support a major art installation. Collaboration with the artist and curatorial team to ensure the scaffold aligned with the creative design and did not interfere with the artwork’s presentation.
  • Restricted access – all materials transported through narrow internal spaces to the upper gallery level.
  • After-hours delivery and installation – all works completed outside of public opening hours to avoid disruption.
  • Tight turnaround – installation had to be completed and tested ahead of the exhibition launch.

Project Outcome

First Scaff successfully designed and installed a temporary scaffold system that met the technical and aesthetic requirements of the project. The structure was delivered safely, on time and without disruption to museum operations. The project demonstrated the team’s adaptability in applying industrial-grade expertise within a sensitive, creative and high-profile gallery environment.
