Estia Health Storm Damage and Strengthening Works

First Scaff was engaged by Paynters to design and install scaffolding for storm damage repairs and roof strengthening works at the Estia Health facility in Thurgoona.

The scaffold provided safe access and full edge protection for repair crews while ensuring debris control and structural safety across the affected roof areas.

Project Environment

  • Scaffold required engineering certification to ensure the roof could safely withstand load while supporting encapsulated mesh containment.
  • Custom design allowed load distribution across the roof surface, minimising pressure on damaged sections.
  • Limited site access with emergency egress for aged care tenants having to remain open at all times.
  • All personnel were police checked prior to site entry to comply with facility safety and governance protocols.

Project Outcome

The scaffold was delivered and installed safely, meeting all engineering and compliance requirements. It provided secure, contained access for roof repairs without disrupting operations or restricting emergency access for residents. The project demonstrated First Scaff’s capability to deliver safe, tailored solutions within sensitive commercial environments requiring both technical precision and strict compliance.
